LIQUID PROTECTION FILM (LPF)

We now offer Opti-Shield. A Liquid Protection Film (LPF) that is the newest advancement in paint protection technology from Opti-Coat!

Before we get into LPF, let’s take a quick step back and discuss Paint Protection Film, PPF, the more known product. PPF, also known as “clear bra” to some is a thick, durable urethane film thats applied to your vehicle’s paint to protect it from rock chips, scratches, and scuffs. It’s an incredible form of protection, but it can be costly and time-consuming to install.

Thats where Opti-Shield LPF comes in. It helps bridge the gap between ceramic coatings and traditional PPF, offering incredible gloss and enhanced protection from scratches and scuffs. Typically more cost effective than traditional PPF, it’s a great option for protecting your vehicle’s paint. Think of it as the perfect middle ground: More durable than a coating, less expensive than PPF.

Another benefit? Cleaner installs. No more misaligned film, lifting edges or trimming necessary. In some PPF cases disassembly is required, greatly increasing the risk of damaging and breaking parts/pieces. Not with Opti-Shield! We simply mask off areas as needed and apply, giving you a seamless bespoke install! What about lifespan and warranty? With Opti-Shield, we can add layers yielding up to a 10 year warranty with no cracking or yellowing like traditional PPF.

We’re proud to be the area’s one and only shop offering this next level protection option. If you’ve been considering protecting your vehicle’s paint, LPF is absolutely worth a look! An overnight stay is required for some installs as well as a 20% deposit which does go towards your final ticket. You’re welcome to add a coating once the install is complete. However, this will increase your stay so plan accordingly.

For optimal protection, it’s highly recommended 4 layers on any and all LPF installations, especially protecting the front of your vehicle. Think of it as 2 is good, 3 is better and 4 is best for a 10 year warranty*.

FULL FRONT: This includes the entire hood, fenders and front bumper. Price: $1000.

PARTIAL: This covers roughly 12” of the front of the hood, 6” of the front of the fenders and entire bumper. Price: $750.

FAQ’s

  • Is Opti-Shield a ceramic coating?

No. It is a new type of ceramic based vehicle protection called Liquid Paint Protection Film aka Liquid Protection Film (LPF) featuring the benefits of both ceramic coatings and impact and scratch resistance similar to paint protection film.

  • Is Opti-Shield PPF?

No, Opti-Shield is applied in liquid form and creates a hard durable layer of protection similar to a ceramic coating. It features some of the scratch and rock chip resistance previously only found in paint protection films.

  • Is it more scratch and chip resistant than ceramic coating?

It is significantly harder than a ceramic coating featuring much better resistance to scratches and marring.

  • Is it as scratch and chip resistant as PPF?

No. However, it is the next best scratch and chip resistance available and offered at a reduced cost compared to PPF.

Bottom line: For that daily commuter or weekend sunny weather trophy car, this is a wonderful option for those seeking protection without breaking the bank. Can you apply LPF on a dedicated track car and yield those same results PPF can offer? No. There are limitations and thats not what LPF is designed for. We love it because it gives the average car/truck owner a more cost effective way of protecting that new investment while saving you money. Options are a good thing so lets have a conversation to see what best works for your and your vehicle!
